On this feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary we have some major news to share about Lepanto.

First, we should realize and recall that the Church only celebrates the “Nativity” of three people in all of salvation history. They are, of course, Jesus, Mary and last and the greatest of the all the prophets, St John the Baptist. St John the Baptist is the bridge between the Old Covenant and the New and Eternal Covenant; as we read about in the Canticle of Zechariah, John’s father. The Baptist is also the first person to adore the Messiah on earth, as he “leapt in the womb” of his mother, Elizabeth, at the visit of Mary and her unborn child Jesus.

In fact, I heard some very interesting commentary by Father Chris Alar on EWTN, appropriate for this feast day. (In case you don’t know of him, he hosts the show entitled “Living Divine Mercy”! Certainly a wonderful and insightful show)!

Father Chris pointed out, that based on the Koran, Muslims believe that only two people have entered this world without the “touch of Satan” which would be a euphemism for Original Sin. Those two are, of course, Mary and Jesus.

Father Chris then pointed out that Bishop Fulton Sheen (to be beatified later this month), predicted that Mary would lead Muslims to Jesus!!

Amazing…! And very much THE ABSOLUTE MESSAGE OF LEPANTO! I.e., No matter how many missiles are fired, or planes are crashed into buildings, or heads are cut off, ultimately this cannot and will not prevail!

Instead there will be surrender to the Holiness of Mary and to Jesus who is the PRINCE OF PEACE!

To wit, our major news is that we will be finalizing the Lepanto screenplay by this Friday, IN TIME FOR THE 25th Anniversary of 9/11…! We fully expect that this will be the key that opens the gates to major film studio cooperation in the production of Lepanto and enable us to continue our quest on the path to perpetuate the Good, the True and the Beautiful.

N.B. These efforts are all being coordinated by Firmament Films™ in conjunction with the Married Monk Ministry, in order to secure all appropriate intellectual property rights and indeed the ultimate goal of bringing the saving story of Lepanto to the wide world.
